The Mexican Standoff is a high‑energy, community‑driven dance battle hosted by Breakefx Crew, one of Colorado’s most respected and longest-standing breakin’ crews.

The event brings together dancers from across the region to compete in Breakin’, All‑Styles, B‑Girl, and Youth divisions — creating a raw, authentic celebration of hip hop culture. I was hired to film the entire event, capture the finals, and produce short‑form and long‑form content that showcased the dancers, the culture, and the intensity of each battle.

Across the event, I filmed multiple divisions, created 23 reels, and delivered cinematic finals videos that highlight the best moments of the night.
