Parker Dance Academy - Hip hop program
Parker Dance Academy hired me to create a promotional video for their Hip Hop program. Over several years, these annual promos helped grow the program from just 7 students to over 120 — with a waitlist.
This commercial became the studio’s primary marketing tool for social media, website placement, and seasonal enrollment campaigns.

Troy’s Hip Hop program wasn’t just a dance class — it was a structured training system built around culture, discipline, and fun. He taught four different age groups, and each class followed the same intentional flow: Hip Hop history, warm‑up, the Gauntlet, choreography, and freestyle.
My creative approach was to capture the full arc of that experience — not just the dancing, but the method behind it. Key elements I focused on:
The structure of Troy’s teaching — showing how each part of class builds skills
Hip Hop history moments — students learning where the movement comes from
Warm‑ups and conditioning — the discipline and athleticism behind the program. Foundations, grooves, drills, and technique development
The Gauntlet — flips, headstands, obstacle challenges, and confidence‑building
Choreography — students applying what they learned in a fun, high‑energy way
Freestyle sessions — individuality, expression, and culture
Teacher–student interactions — Troy’s coaching, encouragement, and leadership
Student interviews — capturing their voices, excitement, and personal growth
The goal was to create a promo that didn’t just show dancing — it showed the program’s culture, structure, and results. A visual story that made parents, students, and the community feel the impact of Troy’s teaching.
